Got sent an email from a money saving website ,and the story was saying that a person with a billboard was advertising "ask me for a free fiver today".mOST PEOPLE WALKED PAST DURING THE DAY only sixteen people got a fiver, giving the view that most people thought that there was a catch. This made me think of yesterday evening ,while passing the local ASDA with diesel fuel being advertised at 120 per ltr.Next door is a filling station with prices for diesel at 125 per ltr and the place was busy. That got me thinking as to why that should be.I came to the conclusion that because it was friday teatime then people would rather pay for an easier fillup.
Do you not think that people have become indifferant to sales, Discounts, delivery before Christmas, No VAT offers & Free fitting..... they are bombarded with this stuff to the point they dont see it...... If a sale is every week it losses it ability to pull customers in. I had a customer who was very succseful carpet shop was full of rolls good quality bought stock for his warehouse never had a sale, no prices on his carpets. .... he did great business because he had a good rep and good fitters, the price he always gave was for the finished job. People picked the carpet they liked and not because they thought they could afford it from the label..... Always fare with everyone customer, suppliers and fitters. Sadly passed away 2 years ago the Church was full to the point that people were standing dont think there was a rep on the road tha day if he knew Steve.
