Hi guys just after a bit of advise I am currently in the army and have about two years left until I leave I was hoping to get in to carpet fitting and seen the course on the website and was just wondering if it would be anygood, I have spoken to a carpet fitter who is a friend of the wifes and he says he can give me some work experience which would be good, so any pearls of wisdom would be great and any tips on finding a job as a carpet fitter cheers guys

    Hi mate and welcome.

Dont bother going on any courses untill you have had some hands on with a fitter. Courses are way to advanced to go on without any expearence.

If your mate can take you out fitting for a few weeks it will be the best thing for you. After this you can start looking at courses.

Use the forum to look around and ask questions to give you a idea of what to expect. Maybe start in the picture section!

I may be out of touch, but the Army used to run courses, You will need to see your resettlement officer, although with two years remaining it may be considered to soon.
