Just wanted to get your opinions on this. I've previously used Bona S760 and R850. I'm currently doing a teak parquet herringbone floor and I'm going to use F Ball B91. Has anybody used this before? and if so is it any good?.
We frequently use F.Ball products for wood blocks. B91 or B92 (the latter when the blocks are longer or for boards/strips up to 1.5 meter).
I can't speak with the experience of a pro. But I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to product research and comparing tech datasheets. Take a look at Rewmar MS Polymer - it has a lot going for it when compared to other types of wood floor adhesive. Mind you if my floor has all lifted in 6 months time I shall revise my opinion somewhat...
Hi Tigger There are so many brands and products around nowadays it is getting harder and harder to know which one works best. We rely on the info we receive from our manufacturers of the wooden floors, they will have done the test to see what works best for their products in various circumstances. Rest assured, many more known products will disappear from the market once all the VOC regulations gets past on.
U must chose the glue depending on many things: 1.the screed/subfloor 2.the parquet 3.If U have underfloor heating 4.If u install fast or slow (models, designs who take time... ) 5the primer u must using etc. Me I use for most of my jobs Ultrabond P990 1K, PU mono,hard-elastic, from Mapei.
im very aware of the need to consider the variables involved when selecting an adhesive. was just looking for other fitters views based on ther experience. Thanks for your input.
