so then, your fitting new carpets in a pub. What method would you use? Stretch fit or dual stick? why?
When fitting axminster(not that polyprop rubbish) in a pub i have fitted it conventionally. With a secondary/hessian backed i would double stick without question , to prevent rucking/ stretching problems
Yes i agree with you, but border work i would double stick. i always heat seam joins on double stick. Steve.
I used to do a lot but its dying out now,the biggest border job i have done was at Burnley FC. I was there 3 months doing vinyl and carpet. Steve.
last border job i did was about 9 years ago at twickenham iv got a pub starting next wk but its all in polyflor tiles and a bit of carpet
always double stick and use hand stitching for joins on quality axminster, ryalux, westex, brintons only use heatseam on polyprop same with bordering
