Can power tools imported from the States be adapted to work on UK current or is this a complete no no? The particular tool I am looking at operates on 130volt (don't know if all their tools do) so would it work on a 110 supply ie with a transformer?
most there stuff works on our 110volt transformers. However i now that we was having trouble with a certain tool. If i remember correct there was some difference between north and south america and we can only use the one or the other. Im not sure if that is true. I think i remember reading this on DIYNOT. Maybe ask the question in there electrical section.
