How does anyone else prepare the subfloor when there is residual bitumen left e.g. floor needs to be screeded or wood floor to be glued down? At the moment I use a machine to remove it but was wondering if there is an easier/cleaner method?
i dont know of a easy way around it. Its a case of sand/scrabble etc it off. All manufactories state that it should be removed before you glue/screed on top. However i find that if its only a thin layer of bitumin then fballs 131 primer and acrylic(200) compounds bond to it very well.
