What’s going on these days. Problem after problem with lines faults and backing falling off with loads of carpets. Victoria has been crap lately who I thought was the best.

1 of the reasons why I decided to knock carpets on the head, apart from a niggle in the knee and giving it a rest from the kicker, I got tired of the crappy quality of some of these well known manufacturers so I just concentrate on everything else for time being. Can't say I miss it either and have plenty of LVT always coming in.

Also stock is a joke, lead times and 'no shows' just aggravated me even more

Fitted some 80/20 from kellars yesterday, looked like a half decent carpet, but the backing was like hardboard, wouldn't stretch or lay flat.
With the exception of Abingdon, suppliers just seem to try their hardest to deny any problems with their products

Abingdon seem to be one of the best. Cormar are as bad as ever. We had two carpets from different batches. Pembroke. The new batch is clearly different. Gauge is not as tight. Looks like a different weight.
