    Hi

    First time posting on here!

I’ve recently fitted Expona 600x600 tiles and to be honest I wasn’t impressed. They didn’t butt together particularly tightly and many of the tiles seemed to run slightly off square.

As a consequence it was a hell of a job to get a great finish and the customer, who is being very picky (considering this is an HMO) is picking up that there’s slight gapping.

Has anyone else had these kinds of issues with these tiles, or was it a dodgy batch? I’m usually fitting Amtico and Karndean and so don’t normally fit the (cheaper) polyfloor LVT’s to make the comparison.

    many thanks for your thought.

Not done loads of Epona but did some pizza jobs last yeah and they were good. But they with smaller tiles.
Expona is made in China and so is karndean. In fact 80% of LVT is now

    Thanks for the feedback.

think possibly the issue is with the size of the tiles- plus the customer being extra fussy.

Mostly fit the higher end stuff in nice properties and rarely have an issue, yet my fussiest customer is an HMO developer….

I fit a fair bit of expona commercial range and I like it, never have same issues as yourself though.

So they dont fit flush out the pack?
    You rang polyflor?

Not tight. On reflection I think part of the issue is that despite the floor being smooth aesthetically (after a lot of levelling compound), it’s running off in different areas where walls have come down. The angles can’t help with the larger tiles.

Whatever the reason, feedback is that it’s generally a good product so maybe this is a dodgy batch.
