    Hi all, new member here
In the process of buying our new home, hopefully will be completing soon.
The wife wants Herringbone (blame social media
The current flooring is tiles, some cracked, most intact.

I have never used LVT before, my self only having used laminate or engineered wood.

I wanted to ask opinions, i was thinking to potentially strip all the tiles off and start from scratch if going down the laminate route.

If LVT im not sure if i could do it over the tiles? I am assuming the floor is level, but not 100% without getting in there, again their are also parts which some tiles are broken.

İ want to use laminate but i have read many posts on here about it crackling.

Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter!

If the tiles are well fixed you can put a levelling compound over them and fit lvt. The subfloor beneath the tiles needs to be dry or youll need a liquid dpm. The tiles will need deep cleaning/degreasing and gritted primer before the levelling compound.
