I rent my flat and have got quotes for carpets. I needed to beat the contractors the agency had a quote from, which I knew would have been a cheap carpet. Sadly the nylon carpet I loved was too expensive but the two quotes I got have been approved by my landlord and he is happy for me to choose which one I prefer. It's out of either Cormar Zenith or Victoria Heartland. I live in a converted Edwardian house and I have the stairs, the upstairs long hallway, living room and 2 bedrooms. I'm not sure if Cormar Zenith is great for the high traffic hallway or the stairs in terms of flattening and also collecting mud/dirt. I have a dog and a daughter. I'm in and out a lot and I come back from muddy dog walks. While the new rules will be no shoes, reality tells me we might not stick to this always. I'd love to have some advice on what carpet is best. I prefer the colour of the Zenith and it will feel nice. But I'm concerned it will look rubbish before very long. The Heartland doesn't look as nice and my daughter said it looks like an office carpet. But maybe better than a flattened carpet that looks c**p after 6 months. I've been obsessing, looking up pile height and density. The Zenith has a higher density but longer pile. I'm pretty clueless, having never bought carpet before. Any help gratefully received. Thanks Sophie
Thank you, Daz. Just clarifying that you're not referring to Heartland Ultra but just the regular one. Is it for the reasons I mentioned or are there are things that make it a better carpet. Thanks for your time. Really appreciate it.
