Client is painting a 2 part epoxy moisture barrier down in the 3 bedrooms carpet needs installing. So we can not penetrate moisture barrier by nailing smooth edge into concrete slab. Can we glue the smooth edge down? I’m getting mixed opinions!

Also glue. You don’t want to pierce the Dpm.

Yes glue the gripper. Ideally as soon as the epoxy has cured or you may need to prime it first.

You can’t use any nails or screws on it.

are you a carpet fitter ?
Use flexy fix or similar and glue the grippers to the Dpm.

No, I’m not the Carpet fitter
I’ve had two different Carpet fitters out and they have both told me that a screed Has to go over the DPM As the glue won’t stick to the DPM

Both wrong. If it’s dusty it will need priming With a grit primer like ardex p4 or Mapei eco prim grip plus
But it should be ok to glue direct. They should cut the grippers into short lengths say 8” long

That way he can Dpm to the walls. Then get skirts on and painted before the carpets go in.

Flexyfix will stick it. 3mm bead on the floor then slide the gripper into place.
