Underlay for Abingdon stain free ultra

We’ve decided on Abingdon stain free ultra carpets for the stairs, landing and bedroom areas. Downstairs is solid floor.

I’ve seen on the forum that Tredaire chromium 9mm comes highly recommended especially for stairs. Is this also a reasonable option for bedrooms or would something softer be better?

The carpet shop have recommended cloud 9 cirrus or cosi 10 throughout but they can change this depending on my preference.

Yes it’s our main underlay. A lot better then cosi and cirrus. 180kg density.

 

Thanks Dazlight, do you normally use this in bedrooms as well as stairs and landings? Not looking for a super soft feel so as long as it’s good and not rock hard we’ll be happy

 

It’s not rock hard so yes. But we do sometimes use ambiance 9mm in the bedrooms if customers want it a fraction softer.
