Hi all, Laying LVT glue down by myself for the first time and so keen to get this right, hoping you can clarify a small issue I have. I’m laying onto a concrete subfloor (new build), my plan is to prime with p51 then go in with screed. However, when pulling up the old carpet I found the glue has properly stuck the corners down and I’m finding it difficult to get up all the underlay, it’s taking ageeess. I’ve sanded but there’s still a few spots where if you look closely there’s still some adhesive visible. My question is, is any amount of old glue okay or do I need to aim for perfection here? Toyed with using a glue remover, but then didn’t know if that was okay to prime over. thanks for all and any help A
Please post pictures when all this is done What's the moisture reading on the concrete floor? Is it a calcium sulphate base?
Providing it’s not an absolute disaster then I will Off the top of my head I can’t remember exactly but it was below the 75% so I was happy. Honestly, found it a bit hard to identify by sight alone, my best guess is no, which I’m hoping is accurate otherwise my plan is screwed from the get go
