My wife tends to walk on her heels / puts her feet down quite hard when she walks. We have a lodger downstairs and it's driving them crazy, it's like living inside a drum. Our subfloor is 18mm ply. There is a thick PU underlay on top and a short pile polypropylene carpet on top of that. I'm looking for a good solution to absorb the foot impact so our lodger can live in peace. I was thinking about getting some sheets of ply and stapling some carpet to the sheets to essentially made solid carpet runners. Does anyone have a better idea? Thanks in advance
