Hi all. Do karndean opus flooring have to acclimatise before fitting and is it all right to fit skirting on top?
You need to put it in the fridge for 24hrs before fitting and do not fit the skirting on top, it'll flattern the karndean!
All pvc products should be acclimatised min 24 hours before installation at what ever will be the average real world temp of the area. Skirts on top is optional but generally it's better to fit upto skirts due to variables in subfloor regularities
I wouldnt worry about acclimatising opus. They all come different sizes anyway. Just make sure it’s not too hot or too cold and there’s no sunlight and you use Ht wet set glue and you should be fine lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Your probably better off putting them in the Fridge. You leave them near a radiator and they will shrink when they hit the floor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
