Hi all, fitted a full house nearly 2years ago.50 oz 80/20.used ultimate living for stairs/ landing ,lounge,no problem.used Cloud 9 cirrus for bedrooms.customer now complaining they can hear a crunchy noise has they walk.I've been back, expecting the backing coming off the underlay,or the carpet delaminating, but no both looked good.to be honest I am a little bit deaf, and I really couldnt hear the problem, I'm not not doubting my customer at all,but the lady of the house describes it as walking on crisp packets.any advice would be really appreciated.customers are great People, and I don't want to be seen as fobbing them off.just want them to be happy.cheers Paul

It'll be the underlay, get Ball and Young in to inspect or the wholesaler to sort it

...Because since my mrs has had a shark hoover and can't stop playing with the damn thing, our bedroom carpet crunches but only for a few hrs after she's murdered it with her tool o_O

Is there any tape on the back of the carpet, I've heard crunching from tape not being removed from carpet when first unrolling
