Got to screed an oak conservatory but i've been told to be carefull because the screed will turn the oak black if it touches it, has anyone else had any issues screeding up to oak?

It’s a good point. Is it new? If so it’s going to move a lot over the next 6 months

Do you mean where the screed touches the oak it will draw up the moisture and stain the oak . If so probably best to tape the oak with duct tape. The same happens with plaster on oak windows .

Yeah i was a bit worried about screeding the floor and it drawing up the moisture, think your right about the tape, im thinking fast setting screed because i don't want it sitting there wet and tape just in case.
