Hi I have soon to install about 200 square meters of engineered oak, but the sub floor is like a caber shield waterproof chipboard . I’m concerned wether the glue will actually cure and bond as it has the waterproof layer on the chip board . Anyone else gone over this stuff before ?
That’s what I thought , but developer insisting that I can go straight onto chipboard, but I have never installed over waterproof type before ♂️
Tell the developer you will either do it the correct way or get somebody else. First sign of any issues they'll be on your case.
Thank Paul that could be an option , I will suggest it to him, is it tricky laying onto elastilon or quite straight forward
I find it easier to pva and strap the first 3 rows the full length of the room first, you can move it about and get it all set and wedged before you start peeling off the film, after that, it flies down
