Hi guys, laying a new LVT floor and there's currently vinyl down which is in good condition, no holes and is completely flat throughout. There is a 10mm gap between the doors and the floor, it is ok to fit the LVT straight over the vinyl or best to uplift and put fresh underlay down?
Best be safe, than soz. rip it up, a cowboy I knew went over vinyl (on concrete subfloor)with real wood once but there was a moisture problem he didn’t know about underneath the vinyl... if only he’d spent 20 mins taking it up, I know lvt click wouldn’t be affected the same way wood would but seen all sorts of oddity’s before
It would not be far off effected in the same way as wood. It’s ultra sensitive Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
