    hello chaps
im just starting to sort my flooring out for my downstairs and wanted a bit of advice on lvt
just wondered what you would all consider as the best lvt's with regards to wear as we have a great dane that loves running around like a lunatic
and also just general quality and longevity as we dont plan on changing it again for quite some time
    thanks in advance

0.5 wearlayer or above is best
Most important thing for longevity is to have it installed by a reputable qualified professional

Ok thanks sounds good we have had loads of samples and so far like the Camaro quayside oak which has a 0.3mm wear layer would you say that is decent stuff
    Thanks

Camaro is ok but for what you are after you need to be going down the route like spacey has said with a better wear layer. Expona does some nice designs, you got amtico, karndean...stacks of them that do a 0.5/0.7 wear layer.
I've not really had much experience with other manufacturers other than above.

    Westex seems quite good too

I've been hearing some good talk about their Lvt but need to get hold of their book.
Do they do a commercial layer?

.7mm wear layer, it's nice to fit,but they are big planks, the dark grey planks are really popular at the moment

Westex, karhs, expona, few there to rival karndean and Amtico
