    Hi all,

I was wondering if I could get your views on Kingsmead carpets, specifically their 80% wool stuff.

I’m currently renovating a house to then live in, and looking to get some sensible carpet for a sensible price (the holy grail, I’m sure). I’m after something hardy as we’ve got a couple of dogs and two youngsters running around. From my many nights of research, a dense low-pile carpet should be best, with regular vacuuming.

I’ve been offered some Kingsmead 80/20 carpets at about £15/sqm. I was originally looking at Victoria stuff but with everything closed in lockdown it’s going to be a nightmare to actually go and see some of it anywhere. Unlike the Kingsmead stuff where I have been able to the roll and give it a once over etc.

It looked alright to my eye, but not seen the brand mentioned much on here so wondered if that may be a bad sign.

it’ll have some good underlay down before it, either some Cloud 9 stuff or they’re offering something that’s 145kg/m (?) which I’m guessing might be better?

Any advice would be appreciated. And thanks in advance.

It’s not as good as victoria but ok for a cheaper 80/20

Have a look at penthouse seasons as that’s ok for the money
