Hi all, Our old cottage is carpeted, but does not have skirting boards, and we are used to this “look”. However, we have finally had new carpets fitted and it is clear that the rooms would look much smarter/finished with skirting boards. Would it be possible to lift the new carpets from the edges, fit skirting, and then trim and refit the carpets? We would be prepared to pay a professional carpet fitter if needed. Looking forward to all of your advice and thanks in advance.
