If using Everlay due to a damp floor in a cap and cove situation in a small washroom area, where would you cut the everlay to?
Cut it 5mm back from the wall. Make sure its acclimatized too. If you can lay it the day before, 5mm gap round the edge, tape joints before laying.
Thanks. Do I need to screed the floor with a moisture tolerant screed first or can it go direct to smooth concrete? Also do I need to avoid sticking to the walls where it is cove formed?
Clarification: 1/ Can the Everlay be fitted without a moisture tolerant screed under it? 2/ Should adhering the vinyl or cove form to the walls be avoided to allow moisture release?
I have always used moisture tolerant latex. If the subfloor is good enough, no reason why you cant go over it. Isolator is not very forgiving, and anything will show through. I just stick the cove as norm, wall and floor. Has always been ok
me too, as above..always stick cove and vinyl to wall as normal. Never a problem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
