hi all! Going to be laying LVT in the kitchen which is 75% floorboards 25% old tiles, in poor condition. Planning to ply over the boards, paint on DPM over the tiles then levelling compound to match the height of the ply on the adjacent boards. Is that the right way to go, or would it be best taking the tiles up and using concrete? cheers!
You can DPM over if the tiles if they are solid but it's always best to uplift and start fresh. Rather than concrete use a smoothing compound bulked out with kiln dried sand or chippings Then your not waiting for concrete to dry

Be cheaper to uplift old tiles and put down a sand cement screed with a proper dpm sheet beneath it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
