    Hi Guys,
This is my first post on this forum and I would like to say Hi to everyone and would like to thankyou for welcoming and letting me register on the forum.

However I have the New Zealand lamb wool carpet, as the shop said it was 100% Lambwool. My nephew spilt cereal with milk and Weetos , but I straight away soaked up the milk on the rag and gently dabbed it and then slightly rubbed the carpet, but can not get it to remove the stain mark.Luckliy there is no smell milk, as we may had little bit of smell for a day or two and then dissapeared.

But can not seem to remove the stain marks.

I would be appreciated if you can advise, as I have used vanish carpet and upholstery foam spray and Xanto Vamoosh stain remover carpet sofa foam.

Thanks in advance for your advice and how to go about it.

Any product with a wool safe stamp on it should be fine. We use a carpet spot cleaner made by mowhawk, it’s brilliant. Always works and won’t take the dye out of the wool

Don’t rub it whatever you do, you’ll open up the fibres causing the stain to go deeper and damage your carpet. I would recommend you contact a professional to come and spot clean for you, there’s no 100% way to guarantee getting a stain out of wool but it gives you the best chance.

what i always do when i spill in my own house is dry it up asap and then soak with water to dilute whatever has spilt and it usually drys off and is good as new.

    Hi All,
Thank you guys for your reply.

When it spilled on to the carpet , my wife soaked it up and then wiped of with water. But the stain did not go after it dried and this is why she applied vanish and still did not go. So she purchased another foam cleaner and it did not work.

So I will have to try as merit mentioned about carpet cleaner made by Mohawk and if this doesn’t work , then it will have to be professional guys, if the mrs really wants the satin off or new carpet.

    Many thanks

All of you have replied, much appreciated.

vanish and alike is the worst thing to use, it actually locks in the stain and can usually bleach the carpet, get someone in and don't be shocked if y9ou're left with a white pot/area.....

you could try warm water and non biological washing powder clean cloth fold and blot repeating the process several times until the stain has lifted it should work.
