Hi guys, having problems gouging acoustic vinyl and having to cut it out with a knife which is not ideal as it is gathering when trying to do it with a standard gouger. Leaving it till the next day aswell before attempting to gouge. Any tips please would be much appreciated. Thanks
We used to fit a lot of 5.5mm acoustic, with the foam back. Used to groove it with an electric groover (Leister), which has a depth control You dont want to be grooving too deep, and into that cushion backing.
Just spoke to Polyflor and they said to over lap the joints as you should nt weld the factory joint so if that was the case the joints on the lengths of the corridors should gouge fine which there not.
Is it a big job ? Ask technical to come out, and show you how it should be done. I had some problems with Gerlfor before, and have to say there tech guys have been very good. They have agreed that some material has been faulty, and replaced, and also showed me some good tips on how to improve installing some of there lesser known products
