Have this job to quote, what would be best approach to prepare the floors for Polysafe arena? At the moment i have painted floor in 100m reception area they want vinyl to be fitted. Im doing moisture testing with humidity box, so i have removed few small squares 6x6 inches of this covering and it seems to be one thin layer of paint and another maybe 1-2 mm witch seems to be dpm or some kind of grey epoxy stuff. Nothing is peeling off (apart small 2 5x5 areas) and all is solidly stuck. Immediately i felt that the slab is wet, but find out tomorrow exactly. So my question is is it necessary for me to grind up to concrete and do new dpm, or just would be enough to remove that thin layer of paint and use dpm or epoxy primer and then latex???
Is this a factory floor ? Most likely the grey stuff is an expoxy resin that’s been painted over Did you remove the resin before you put the box down ? If you could get false readings!
Its a reception area, like a museum. Maybe 200 people a day. Yes i removed the epoxy with chisel up to bare concrete.
The floor reads 93% after 3 days measuring and after further investigation (with the nocking method) some places of the floor feels that is not bonded properly. So all need to come off. What blades would take this fastest/easiest? The thickness is about 2mm
