What would you class as a days work for a fitter? A living room in LVT on 45 with a border ? A bathroom plywood and lay Lay LVT ? Do you think you should set your fitters a target. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Have to have some sort of target or it's too hard to book jobs in. Bathrooms are always day rate, the tricky ones take all day the easy ones you could do 3. It's a tough one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
When I started as a carpet fitter I would take out 150 yds a day, with at least 1 hsl, and the standard had to be high. I bought a Hi-ace when I was about 20, and did that for a few years, before taking on a mate, who worked with me, until a few years ago. Now i`m old and fat, and my knees are fu*cked, if I have more than 60sq m 3 of us go and fit. 99% of our work is commercial now though, and that`s hard to work out how much on average, you would fit in a day. There are 6 of us fitting now, and I pay all the boy`s on day rate.
Definitely have to have a target to plan your weeks work A standard living room ply and fit with a key line border on a 45 I'd say 2 days 1 bathroom ply and straight lay would an early finish 2 is well do able with toilet and pedestal to cut round in each
