Copper disc

Hi All,

I'm after a little advice please, I've never posted before on here, but have recently been following with interest though.

I'm fitting an engineered prefinished parquet floor onto an existing concrete floor.

The concrete has been painted with a floor paint at some point, I suspect it has been a garage or similar in the past.
The paint is well worn and completely worn in places, I've checked the MC in these worn areas with Tramex Concrete Encounter 2 - 2.5 (Cm scale).

I'm planning on a 3mm ish Arditex NA before bonding the blacks.

However I'd like to remove all the paint to ensure a good bond for the NA.

Has anyone used a 17" 16g Copper Disc?

This is a small area, 15sqm, at the side of an open plan kitchen area.

1. Will the copper disc on a Kt ERH 43 suffice and do the job?

2. Is it going to be massively dusty?

3. Any other thoughts?

If gluing the wood down then NA won't be strong enough. You be better removing the old adhesive and using Ardex K39

Thanks, unfortunately already bought copper disc from Havwoods!!

I'd did confirm with Ardex technical that NA would be suitable for bonding engineered blocks to.

 

Crazy they say that as bonding wood needs minimum 25newton strength.
