    what's everyone do???

I just hate driving around with loads of sample stuff in van. Laminate/LVT/carpets etc.

Trying to keep a select few but seems every time I show customers always wanting more and more choice!

Same here, im forever tossing carpet samples around the back of my van because I cant find my dustpan and brush. I tend to take the big samples out and back in my workshop. Lvt/vinyl samples are permanently on their shelf in the van. I have a transit custom so not the biggest, if I had a sprinter or similar size then id make a dedicated rack to house/hang samples (obviously not all of them but the common ones I tend to use)

Yeah I just find it unprofessional when i don't have what they are looking for. Amount people I've told to go clarkes so they can get a rough idea and choose a colour.

I don't bother with customers and 100% sub, much easier and no hassle with going back 4 times to same customer with different samples only for them not to use you.

Id say 80% of the time I have what they are looking for but sometimes when they want something specific like from Dalkards, MK's etc I have to go through the retail contact I have. When I get the phonecall ill ask them what sort/type they are after then chuck a load on the van and show them.

I try to show them things on a tablet and then order the samples to their house from the manufacturer, or make two trips once I know what they want.
