Hi everyone, i just wanted to know how to do a hall stairs landing plan for pattern/striped carpets what do you need to do differently than just a plain carpet to get the pattern straight on the stairs and so its all matching nicely. Many thanks
You need to know your stripe/pattern repeat first. Then allow for that on top of your measurements. That's what I do anyway Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ensure you check the pattern repeat as merit said. It can be anything from usually 10cm to 30cm (even more in some cases). Make sure the pile is all running the correct way. Base it off the width of the stairs and then look how landings will match up or vice versa. If your using 4mt width carpet you may only get 3 runs.
Thanks for the replies, so for example stairs are 85cm wide, pattern repeat of 20cm plan for 105cm on my plan ? Would the fitter cut it at 105 put on stairs then cut in on both sides ?
get the fitter to plan it for you! as no disrespect but im not sure you know what your talking about judging by the last question you just asked and could make a hash of it.
