Hello, Looking to carpet a bedroom with cormar carpets home counties heathers (50oz) and have some golden gripper (medium pin) but haven't been able to decide on which underlay to use. I got a few samples and like the firm feel / support of the Cloud 9 contract 8mm foam and Duralay Treadmore rubber crumb. I'm assuming these would be thick enough and wouldn't have problems with feeling the edge of the gripper being just 8mm thick? And wouldn't have problems with pins poking through, I think medium pin is fine for the type of carpet being used..So which underlay would you go for or would you recommend a different one? Thanks!
check out www.qaflooringsolutions.com , there's a great tool on the website for choosing underlays.... based on what you have mentioned above, it might might be worth checking this out for consideration - http://qaflooringsolutions.com/skywalk-gold.htm
Cloud 9 cirrus for a normal bedroom, connoisseur 8mm as its a bit firmer or Charleston which is a 9mm and really good feel.
Both are good choices! Underlay is very important, so make sure that you make the choice that is right for you! Make sure to check out Cool Runners: The Carpet Runner Specialists
