Hi lads looking for some advise customer wants me to fit lvt in two weeks time but concrete is only going day Monday is it possible to turn underfloor heating up slow to dry it out? If rh reading is still high in two weeks put a dpm down ? Think I already know the answer as I know it takes 28 days for concrete to go throw its shrinkage process but was thinking of using ardex dpm1c
how deep? and what type of screed is what you should be asking first, answers will come from those answers. is there a dpm that goes over water ufh?
All I know is it will be 2 half inch deep and I Am told it is not anhydrite. Also I thought ardex 1c is ok on under floor heating ?
75mm is 100 days drying time in ideal conditions roughly and really youd need to wait 30 days for concrete to build up strength really before you do anything as you wouldnt want to dpm it after 2 weeks of being down then the slab to crack on you. Your right tech sheet says it goes over ufh didnt know that didnt think there was a dpm that goes over ufh ive always force dried or waited it out.
Your much better off running the ufh to help dry the slab out The problem with putting a dpm over it is you have the ufh pushing the moisture out of the concrete and the dpm trying to keep the moisture in so there's a risk it will blow
