Hi Gents, Found your forum while searching for advise on Instalay hg30. I unfortunately installed it under a lvt tile last week and have regretted ever hearing about this product. I have noticed some of you have had similar problems with it. I only used it as the subfloor was screeded previously by builder with a unknown waterbased compound and I was apprehensive in covering over it and just buffed and feather- finished it and applied the loose laid Instalay as per instructions. Installed the Tile and border, customer was delighted with the result and loved the soft underfoot. I had my reservations, believed it was too soft and would give trouble in time. Well I didn't have to wait long, the customer contacted me with some snags, some of the tiles had their edges damaged from chairs etc and some were peaking. I advised him of my concerns while installing the product and couldn't believe it was recommended for tile I assured him I would contact the supplier and have them replace the floor, They sent a rep ok, but he wont commit to solving the issues. He just took some photos and stated they have never had any problems with the product even in commercial installations he just took a sample and told the client they would be in contact in a week. I only used this product because the supplier recommended it and it solved my initial fears of the suspect floor screed. Stay away from this product.... Regard B
