We have just had wood flooring fitted in our living room. We asked the fitter to hide the sky cable and it appears he has put it under the wood panels, not behind the skirting where we expected. It also appears that he has fitted a board that is a different type of colour beyond the natural wood variation. Please see photo Is this right? Is there anything that can be done about it? Flooring is Rondo click fit from B&Q
Would surely be worth a phone call to the fitter to enquire? Depending on his reply, you could ask here if its right or wrong..
Was the cable long enough to go around the perimeter of the floor and still leave enough up to connect to the box? Need to see the pictures
This is my bug bear. Cables and wires are a pain in the bum. I do alot of of hard flooring and if a customer wants them routing it should be done before I turn up. And when fitting carpets, wires between the gripper and the wall. Its not a cable route its where the carpet is tucked into. Cables are NOT the floorlayers responsibility. Its YOURS. Oh and now you got me started, a bank of cable's running down the stairs. Wtf. Television, alarm and phone engineers are a pain in every floor layers side.
Don't get me started on wires. Customer- can you just hide those wires under the carpet. 3 thick wires, yes sure. Customer- can you just stick that behind the gripper. Sure. Where is the angry symbol
