Protector for Karndean floor??

I have customer who is set on a black floor for her dining room. After going through various samples and discussing budget etc we nailed it down to Karndean art select midnight oak (she liked the spacia ebony but not in the only size available)

She has 3 dogs, 1 being a hefty labrador and she is asking about floor protection. Some kind of sealent to put over the top to help maintain wearability.

Ive never used any sealing product on lvt, cleaning yes but not a protector as such.

Is it necessary or any major advantages?
or is it a waste of time?

she has karndean in the joining kitchen and the hallway but is a lot busier and nothing as dark.

She wanted to see a sample of 'a sample treated' just so she can see the finish on it because she dont want anything that will end up glossy.

 

The distinctive Dr Schultz stuff comes in Matt finish I believe, couldn't tell ya how it came out as never use it either.

 

Cheers guys. Do you know if they sell sample bottles of these? Highly unlikely but worth a go

 

Phone karndean at Evesham and see if they will do you a sample board with half with the polish half without, you don't ask you don't get.
