How close to the edge can it cut?

Something to consider if you do wood floors. If you get a saw that cuts quite close it can be used to re cut an expansion gap

 

Was looking at one (festool) for trimming doors and kickboards.

I've got the angle guide. It fits on my dewalt track.

 

I've got the dewalt plunge saw and it's brilliant except the rail rubber backing . Have had it for about 3 years and now it's losing its holding of position. But they are great for trimming doors, worktops , mdf sheet

 

You can get new edge and anti slip strips for the dewalt rails

People using other brands of plunge saw how close do they cut to the wall ?
Most skirting or laminate scotia is 15mm , so would be too wide a gap ??
