First off it not something I've fitted before, but a shop I subbie out to want me to do it,don't know why?
its a hsl in a runner with a join, there's 3 winders to do also, what the best way to do the join heat seam? I don't know the make of the sisal but it's the one that looks like it's made in the shape of a letter V if any one has any tips on fitting that would be great.

It's to be joined on the landing, but the landing is two runners with a piece joining them together both joins on the width, the sisal doesn't look like the weave is tight and I'm worried if I follow a weave it may come apart? Have you joined many sisal Spacey?

Yes mate on a double stick system & f3O the seam it's never the best to seam but can be done
Antifray spray can help stop the cut edge burst before you cut it but leaves a slight shadow !

Ah right you really haven't done any ?
Yes all double stuck F40 durafit 360 then F3 to the underlay. You can heat seam the joins first then glue it down & it needs acclimatised for min 24hrs coz it can shrink like hell ! Use short pin grips & best stapled under the nosings thats how I do it !

Hate joining that stuff. Seen a way of joining it on some American thing where you pull a few rows out down the length and then fold back and f60 the bits that are left to the backing to give you a sealed edge. Probably only works on certain types tho

Not the easiest of materials to fit for your first time, plus a join, winders and stripes, good luck mate. V sign sounds like the herringbone design. I've got one coming up, winders, straights but as a runner with 2 inch binding.
