After a lengthy meeting with itools today, I'm pushing forward an idea? For all those single disc machines out there. I'm investigating into a disc plate that will have interchangable couplings. This will make it possible to just change the coupling to suit your machine. Segments are then attached to the disc plate to suit your needs. From de-nibbing screed to grinding the floor, removing bitumen and paint
A: You can just purchase all items. B: You can hire the plate and i'll put the correct coupling on it to suit your machine and segments for the floor you need to work on. C: As B but you purchase the segments for further use at a later stage when you hire the plate again. The segments last on average 2000m2 they are 10mm in depth and will be charged for per 1mm used if hired
only the purchase cost of the plate and segments not the couplings yet as they are looking into that bit for me, they already make a few couplings for common machines but there may be fitters out there with less common machines. As for the hire yet again they are getting back to me as there are variable to take into consideration..
The diamond disc plate comes with coupling included in price as long as it's one they stock and don't need to make. Disc plate & coupling for numatic, woodboy, floorboy, sandy, ghibli, wirbel, pajarito, columbus, wolff, roll, bison. £210.73+ vat Segments are £187.41+ vat for diamond and £247.86+ vat for PCD
Itools are now making discs for nilfisk and will let me know when production has started and availability. Not sure why we can't have a nilfisk coupling put on.. perhaps there machine is thinner at the driveboard??
Not sure mate but it a pritty big heavy machine & the coupling is big I'd say just push on the base & turn ! I'll tweet you some pics can't post pics off my phone
cant see why a standard nilfisk coupling wont fit.. I can get hold of couplings so will try and fit one on and see if it will then fit on a nilfisk machine
To hire Disc and grit70 segments x5 £5.70 + vat per 0.1mm that would equate to roughly 20m2 + postage there and back. Not sure what that cost is yet
Mario did you have a answer for Spacey about the nilfisk.I Saw his machine in his Pictures & I have the same one.The numatic coupling is very close as I have tried a diamabrush with a numatic coupling. This fits and you can use it but doesn't lock in.A spacer might do it but I'm not much of an engineer.Let me know what you think.
