Anyone that sands it must be one of the busiest times of the year? I was wondering what machines you use, papers & what little quirks or plus points that are individual to each machine?

The only little quirks I've found was the operator....
person on the edger always says it's harder work... ''ok let's swap'' 2 minutes later.. I'll put the tea on... and go back to doing the edges after..lol

Is the multi disc the same as a trio then? I've only ever used bona sanders apart from on the fita training course when we used Hummel

Sort of ,have never used a Trio this is a poor man's version but still a very capable machine i could not do a block/parquet job without it.
It takes 4 x 150mm discs so a little less surface area but discs are more readily available.

Very late to this thread i know but only joined the forum a couple of days ago.

It was me who did this video, we were testing the prototype of the Flexisand Powerdrive 1.5 for Bona, now i'll likely upset a few people on here who have Trio's but the Flexisand is imho as good as the Trio without question, the finish the machine puts on any wood floor is ridiculous...

BTW i used the Trio for four years almost daily for a firm i used to work for, so i do know its a high quality machine, no question.

The production models are even better than the prototype as they have a more robust [heavier] motor, the job in the video was the exception rather than the rule with the Flexisand, that was an upstairs Hallway and was unbelievably flat, had P36 silica carbide discs on for that job and it took it off clean as...but 99% of floors will need the big machine to do its business first.

    My Gear

    3 x Bona 10" Belt Sanders
    Bona Flexisand Powerdrive 1.5
    Bona Buffer with 4D plate
    2 x 7" Bona Edgers
    1 x 6" Bona Mini Edger
    Bosch Multitool x 2
Metabo SXE450 x 2 150mm [these are the poor mans Festool Rotex but only cost around £170 and are VERY good ]
    Metabo SXE400 x 1 80mm
Milwaukee ROS-150E [only had this a few weeks and its really good, and under £120.00 ea]
    Bona DSC Vac
    Several Nilfisk Vacs

plus lots of other swag which i can't be bothered to list

If anyones interested in the review i wrote on the Flexisand Powerdrive here it is: http://www.woodfloor-renovations.co.uk/bona-flexisand-prosystem-floor-sanding-machine-review.htm

PS...It is as good as it sounds...every bit
