I was wondering what would happen if a screed and lvt floor were laid on a floor with a failed dpm or damp issue. I would have thought the screed would frequently remain intact and the moisture would appear underneath the flooring and dissolve the adhesive. What do you guys think?
my understanding of it is this A latex based screed isnt as affected by moisture/damp as a water based is moisture can still transfer through the screed albeit at a slower rate So latex one its more likely the addy will be affected A water based is more likely the screed itself will blow as it cant take moisture at all, so it would be the 1st thing to blow
