It`s been snowing all day here, so don`t think I will be going in tomorrow. Any one else gonna bin it off ?
I was meant to work today but after skidding down the road yesterday and bouncing off the curb I decided against it! I'm supposed to be in Northampton tomorrow to do a job that's already been put off twice, not sure I fancy getting stuck on the motorway.Main roads don't seem to bad round here tho
I smashed an Escort van to bits on Friday. Just cracked bumper for me luckily. Been out today in the car (4x4) but lots of others in trouble on hills etc. Boiler just packed up too, so its gonna be cold !
No not really. Its an oil boiler, 10 years old. We had it fitted when we moved in, and it`s been a pain in the arse ever since. Ive been putting off replacing it, but now i`m gonna have to bite the bullet. Everyone will be huddling round the fire tonight.
Your keen, at work on a Sunday, and in the snow. A bit of sledging, and snow boarding was order of the day here.
love job mate.i put off doing it yesterday as my streets icy as hell so decided today when a bit of snow was on the ground.took the kids out this afternoon tho for snowman making and sledging
Put Friday's job off, don't normally work weekends anyway, will have a go tomorrow, front wheel drive van, crap in weather like this.
Think I might try some winter tyres. The vivaro is front wheel drive, and not awful, but could be better. The LT is rear wheel drive, and pretty hopeless really. I got an 4x4 Insignia last year. Went to pick my lad up this afternoon, down a single track road, with big drifts across it. A Land Rover waved me past, and they all ****ed thereselves with laughter, as I drove past, thinking I was gonna get stuck. 2 miles on, at the end of the track they were just staring in disbelief ! the 4x4 badge is tiny, and covered in mud. Ha ha
I rang up customer Friday trying to sack it off saying it was too icy for the van and they came round and picked me up in there 4x4!!
those isignias are nice motors i hired one last year an auto have to say very comfy and quick.only thing is i kept forgetting to press the button to place the handbrake on
not that much snow up by me actually Was at work today doing a rip up and ply/screed restaurant kitchen area We'll get it in the neck soon enough tho Had it really bad couple yrs ago. That being said, my iveco isnt too bad in the snow, prob helps with the fact i carry about a ton of tools and samples in the back!
i had a transit mk5 years ago i had to put roller and screed by the rear doors to get me out of the snow there good with alot of weight but i try to carry less since having front wheel drive i have a vivaro fwd and transit fwd but my transit is complete crap in the snow i can get off the drive and thats it then spins on the road the vivaro isnt to bad i got stuck earlier when the snow was heavier so had to get carpet out under wheels
Bad down here had Friday off due to couldn't get out of road got van out today to get up shop came out some ****er had ripped side mirror out of casing and bent metal frame around £600 for new one fitted and to top it off its snowing again
