need to glue some wide oak boards, approx 20mm x 210mm x 3m lengths. Was planning on using f.ball B95. What do you think?? Has anyone glued anything this wide? and could recommend another adhesive? Also client doesn't want thresholds, so overall width will be nearly 10m. I'm a bit concerned about this, what do you guys think??

    Cheers

I've just stuck down a even wider board with mapei p990 1k. Really good stuff and it is absolutely solid. Good price too. 10m is a lot for that board, can you put some spacers between the boards? Or start in the middle of the room and work opposite directions.

very wide area without expanstion. I would do as merit has suggested and leave .2mm field expansion between each plank.

Same as above and p990 1k is great gear.

You haven't said if the boards are solid or engineered. If they are engineered and the environment is good then you should be fine. if the boards are solid then it is a bigger risk. This will come down to how suitable the environment is, how well it will be managed post installation and how well the boards are acclimatised prior to the installation. If all this is good then you will be OK, if there is a moisture ingress or a loss of moisture post installation and the floor decides to move then it is going to move and there is no adhesive that will stop it. This may be slight and manifest itself as a slight cupping or crowning that will be seasonal. So be sure about the wood condition relative to the environment. Also, if I were doing it I would use an MS Polymer adhesive. They have great bond strength and they are cleaner and easier to use than any of PU adhesives like the P990 or B95 mentioned here.
