As title says, looking at 150 year old house (obviously no dpm) next week with said floor down and looking for options. I know belt and braces is dig up and start again but know for a fact they won't go that way and looking for opinions (they vary every 2 minutes!
Ashpalt mate but if not and a low water table house ie - High on a hill or the floor level is higher then the garden level. Matt has a picture of what I mean , then you could go 2 coat epoxy dpm route.
