I am fitting some of this tomorrow (on Matts recommendation) but have never used it before. I'll be working in a fairly long narrow space and was wondering how easy it is to handle. Does it crease easily and would I need help in manoeuvering a piece 7m x 2m?
Its lighter than a vinyl and stronger also. Its more like working with templating paper that wont rip so a 7m length wont be a issue. I would advice wearing gloves + decorators overalls (the cheap £3 ones from b&Q) as it is fibreglass so when you cut it and move it around it can get a bit itchy. Nothing like loft insulation but still not pleasant to do a days work in clothes that you installed teh stuff in the morning, its fine while working on top of it tho.
I didn't put this down until today and it was much easier than I thought although still awkward in a narrow area. It didn't crease as I feared but going through two doorways it bubbles very slightly. I have trimmed it around the perimeter but it is still raised a touch. Is it ok to use a small amount of spray glue to hold it down where it is raised?
you shouldnt have any bubbles any where john unless its touching the perimeter some where? you need to cut it a few mm short like you would with plywood. And no cant glue as it will stick the backing down squashing the bobbles and cause dips.
