Quick, get the air test done before the floor layers arrive !

id love too but no, they wont pay, the place i sub to wont pay, infact none of the subbing companies want to pay you for anything.

you get no extra for: concrete floors even if you have to glue the entire lot, no extra for differing carpets, no extra for 16 winders vs a straight flight, no extra for silicone,no extra for carpet protection ( i hate it with a passion) no extra for an extensive scrape and sweep, you cant park, they want you to park in a compound that a 23ft van doesnt fit in because its been made for fiestas. I hate it with a passion now. everything is sh*t

    Yes, agreed its pretty shit.
I refuse to cut out mastic, until a variation has been agreed.
Same if the tapers have left a terrible mess. Just refuse, and leave if they wont agree a variation.
New build really turned to shit, but if I am on site for a while, I can normally turn the main contractor round to our way of thinking. Get the plots ready, or they won`t get done. If the firm won`t pay day works, for all the ag, pack up and move on.
There are still a few decent firms about that will support there installers.

I don't get if its shit then why you putting up with it?
I quit putting up with crap, like Neil says...move on and don't put up with it.

Surely there's other options out there for you to 'put food on the table'?
