Furniture impressions

    Hello. Does any tradespeople have any ideas that genuinely helps remove furniture impressions from carpets. Chair legs, castor impressions etc. Customers often ask me this and other than the old wives ‘ice cube’ tale (which doesn’t work) I’m nonplussed. I’ve been a fitter for a long time, always open to a decent suggestion

    Moved my sofa off my polly prop carpet big square indentations from legs
    tea towel on top , steam iron hovering just over , blasted steam into them for 15-20 seconds then removed towel and brushed pile up
    left to cool and hey presto . i do have PU underlay that doesn't flatten , may not work as well with a rubber waffle ulay

    Ice in a bag and putt in indents. Always works for me.
