I’m wondering if you can help. I had this flooring fitted in December and it’s now so grubby I’ve used all the Karndean products to clean and been on my hands and knees but the gaps don’t come up clean. Surely the gaps aren’t right?

Warm planks, cold concrete and drying time for adhesive, likely to result in slight shrinkage

Is there anything I can do to remedy?
Or will I have to live with the gaps.
We paid for a Karndean company to fit so I’m shocked. Also other parts of the floor aren’t as bad. When I asked company they said “well you shouldn’t have gone for white tiles, the living room gets a lot of footfall it’s usual to get movement.” Absolutely gutted as I skinted myself to go for a “premium” product and now it looks so grubby and cheap.

Possible easy fix with an awl or a screwdriver (personally prefer an awl),but would probably void any fitting warranty if you attempt to do it yourself

I might contact the fitter. I was hoping that’s what they would say when they came. We can do x y z to fix that. But I was told to scrub it and it would clean it up. It didn’t.

Looking at the gaps they might be too big to close up with an awl as suggested but you could be close up so gaps might not be as big as they seem. Another suggestion is possibly lvt grout/filler.

Karndean knight tile. It shrinks I’m afraid. Even on Ht glue you will get some movement. Unless the area it’s fitted in is climate controlled and away from direct light. Get your grout out. Best think for thin LVT

Are you mopping the hell out of it or using a steam cleaner

Get some moduleo filler. Works well on LVT
