Hi All, Looking to carpet 4 rooms incl hallway in my 2 bed flat and I'm trying to think of ways to cut on some costs due to excessive wastage from my awkward flat. I've seen that you can get some great respected carpet remnants (Victoria Heartland in particular) and there are some cuts that work well for my plans but I just wanted to check with the pros here if this is sensible/not recommended (& why?). For example: Hallway is 1m x 6.5m Living room is 3.8m wide by 6.4m long Would 1x 5m x 7m cut be usable for both? Using this for the living room would leave roughly 1.2m x 7m spare which more than fits the hallway. Final question about remnants/off cuts in general - is this something that fitters dislike dealing with? In my case, looking to source our own Victoria Heartland offcuts + buy own underlay (looking at you cloud9 caviar & crystal 9mm), but if this is something that fitters dislike working with, I'd rather not deal with that hassle. You should be able to get both from a 660x5 as said. only thing id note is,for me personally atleast, i wont bother with fit only where customers supply stuff,i have plenty of sub contract work where its plenty of meterage and will pay more than what i could price a fit only up. Sometimes trying to save money ends up with you only finding fitters who cant get work elsewhere because their works not great
