UFH and Bitumen adhesive

    Evening all, any advice really appreciated.
    Removed old Marley (not checked for Asbestos but took precautions) tiles and left with the Bitumen adhesive, approx 1mm thick and looking to retrofit UFH. Type of UFH will be castellated panels laid over the Bitumen pipe sits in this then a liquid screed to cover all (from NuHeat).
    Other than digging up the floor it seems impossible to get rid of the Bitumen so my question is it ok to have UFH on top of this? Should I Arditex NA 1st? Will the UFH cause the Bitumen to melt, liquidify and smell. I did ask Nuheat and they said remove as much as possible but will be fine???

    I would latex over it. That probably isn’t thick live bitumen if they were vinyl tiles

    Cheers merit, yeah it's only about 1-2mm thick max in places.

    The panels may be designed to prevent losing the heat through the subfloor ,if so,the bitumen shouldn't affect it, if not, have a look at Sikka rapid dpm
